Beachsides Core Values
Our people have become a community largely because we share three core passions. These three passions have united us and will characterise our church. We will strive to have:
A PASSION FOR GOD HIMSELF - That is to say we hunger to know God. We want to know Him deeply. We love to spend time with him in heartfelt worship and prayer. We love to dig into his word, the Bible, and we find that God speaks to us in powerful ways through it and by his Holy Spirit.
A PASSION FOR EACH OTHER - Jesus said that his followers would be recognisable by their love for each other. Every member is valuable, lovable, forgivable and capable. Everyone longs to be loved and we want to meet that need in each other.
A PASSION FOR OUR NOT-YET-CHRISTIAN FRIENDS - We feel compelled to take the good news of God's love to all people. We will strive to reject our comfort zones and the temptation to be a church that is pre-occupied with ourselves. We will strive to reach the beach culture to which we have been sent and to any other person, anywhere in the world as God provides us the opportunity. We believe all people need God to be complete.
