A Victorian research group several years ago produced some interesting statistics on the influence on a mans spiritual life on the family. What they found was if a child became a Christian first in the family, in only about 5% of cases the rest of the family became Christians. If the wife became a Christian first in the family, in the low 20 percentile of cases the rest of the family became Christians. If the husband/father became a Christian first in was in the 90% range that the rest of the family gave their lives to Christ.
In light of this men need to be fired up for Jesus. We can be under no illusions that men can live a lukewarm spiritual life without their families paying the price. Its for this reason that the men at Beachside are getting together because as the bible says “iron sharpens iron”.
